How Unlimited Is Our Awareness?

Of course many of us think of ourselves as very aware people already. We know and understand how life works, about reality, about spirituality. We know that love and compassion increase the joy in our lives. We know about right livelihood and mindfulness. Why do we need something like The Avatar Course? Aren’t we aware already?

We all experience our own degree of awareness. We are learning and growing at our own pace. Life presents the lessons, and we are supposed to gain insights and increase our awareness of our true essence, our unlimited divinity, our spiritual nature. But the process is slow. We are not always aware, but often stuck in our limited creations not able to see the way out. We may have a conceptual understanding of pure awareness, but do we actually ever experience it?

Even still, we have this inner drive to know even more and increase our awareness of self. We have become explorers and spiritual seekers. The urge to know increases. There has to be more
to reality than what we see. How long does it take to truly know, feel, and BE who we really are underneath all these ideas, beliefs, identities, and expectations? Can we actually become enlightened
in this lifetime? Or do we settle for those fleeting moments of awareness?

To demonstrate how unlimited our awareness really is, let’s compare it to love. It too is a driving force of nature that is within each of us and draws our attention.

We see, feel, and understand love, even as a small child. We love our parents, our family pet, and chocolate ice cream. Love feels good. We experience love.

Then as an adolescent, we fall in love. It increases and is very exciting and intense. More love than we ever experienced before. Now we are really experiencing love. This is amazing! Time goes on and it grows into a physical relationship, and WOW! Now we know how amazing love can make us feel when we share it physically.

It just gets better and better. Our emotional and physical relationships grow and deepen, and we realize how good it feels to be loved, supported, admired, cared for, and more. We experience even deeper love.

Time goes on. We may have long-lasting relationships, and we may feel an even deeper connection—a Soul-level spiritual connection. We support each other’s growth and life purpose. That’s what we are here to do. We provide encouragement and inspiration as well as support and understanding. We may realize that we have shared many lifetimes together, and this love is very, very old and deep. It is truly unconditional love. Purely appreciating the other.

Of course, since we are unlimited, we can take it even further and experience that spiritual kundalini rise in us and feel that intense love expand to All That Is, everyone, and everything, in every moment. So this is spiritual love. It is totally unlimited.

It keeps expanding—there is no limit to this force we know as love. Our awareness also expands, grows, and is just as unlimited.

For me, the journey with the Avatar materials over the past ten years has been a continual expanding and unfolding of my awareness. It is an awesome and sacred journey. Of course I was a spiritual seeker for many years prior, absorbing books, yoga, meditation, A Course in Miracles, anything and everything. None of it compares to the acceleration of awareness that takes place with The Avatar Course.

Because it is an experiential course, YOU discover your own insights and realizations into awareness. It becomes part of who you are. Since you are exploring your own consciousness, it is always perfect for you.

We have a desire to continually expand and increase our awareness. How fast or how slow the process is, is up to you.

Every time you shift your viewpoint to include multiple viewpoints, you expand your awareness of life even further. Whenever you work with any of the Avatar materials, you expand your awareness even further.

WOW! There is no limit. We never get to a place where we say, “OK, I got it. I’m done. I don’t need to experience anything more.” The journey is the reward itself. Instead of being spiritual seekers, we become spiritually aware beings. Life is amazing, an adventure into awareness. We are amazing beings.

The word avatar is an old Sanskrit word, which simply means—an enlightened one who walks the Earth to assist others with their journey. Not only am I aware of how unlimited I really am, but my degree of certainty in my unlimitedness keeps expanding. There are no limits. Life is fun.

Only YOU decide how much awareness you are ready and willing to experience yourself as.
