I received a letter last week from Linda Decker, a Master in Texas. Let me quote you a paragraph:

“Well, I’ve spent much of the day wiping tears from my eyes as I listened to public radio’s account of the aftermath of the bombing in Oklahoma City. It’s a stretch to imagine what kind of monster would deliberately calculate maximum carnage by hitting an office building at 9am on a work day with a full day-care center on site. All I could think of was that I have to stay my course–head down, into the wind. Sometimes it’s the people we are most tempted to “hate” that need to be floated in a sea of Avatars. Imagine if those responsible for this tragedy had had even a flicker of an idea that the belief they were asserting was a temporary, changeable thing...”
