Perspective For A New Decade

Perspective For A New Century

by Virginia Downsbrough

Dear Harry,

Here we are at this celebration. A decade has passed since Avatar’s birth!

I may never have told you that about eight decades ago I learned to read using the “Palmer Method.” After about seven decades of reading and a great deal of searching, I came upon another “Palmer Method”—Avatar. This, I thought, is by far the most brilliant material which I have so far encountered.
It is the vision of our possibilities. It is our threshold to the future. It is the perspective of our oneness, our integrity.

So now, a decade later, a decade of your brilliant husbandry, here we are. I feel that this “here” is our springboard to the heres and nows of a new decade, the heres and nows of a new century.

Just look at us. Just fancy it. A seasoned politician is perplexed, a lonely voice unable to arouse our electorate with accusations. “Where is the outrage?” It looks like the outrage may no longer be held in creation. It looks like the outrage may no longer be real.

You’ve said that “Reality is sustained by attention.” You’ve said that “Definitionless awareness is the source of attention.” And you’ve said that “Self definition is the beginning of duality.”

It looks like the duality game, the fragmentation game is winding down. It surely seems that the co-create game is indeed about to unfold.

I believe that the wholeness is becoming visible. I believe that the integrity is becoming visible. I believe that the oneness is becoming real.

We are discovering the control of our attention. Thanks to you, we are discovering how to experience. Here we are—and from here we surrender our need for aggression. We grant ourselves permission to yet expand our discovering.

May I quote you to you, dear Harry?

“The prize of experience is perspective; everything else is information. Understanding that you are the convergent point of every reality is true perspective.”

We are seemingly producing an infinite highway of information. With what awe we can now place ourselves on the threshold of a new decade, on the threshold of a new century, on the threshold of true perspective.

So, dear Harry, Mr. Palmer, I applaud your grace in the statement of fundamentals. I salute your splendid contribution to the quality of our global society. Thank you for having communicated not only your perspective, but also the tools with which to achieve such a perspective.

Fulfillment. True perspective. Here Now.

With Love,
Virginia Downsbrough
