Creating From Nothing

by Richard & Lori Brenckman

We both grew up in the Northeast. And even though we both moved around a bit, we didn’t stray too far. It was familiar territory.

So after we decided to start teaching Avatar five years ago, we naturally stayed in the same area. It seemed like home.

In mid-l994, we decided to take six months off and travel around the world. And we did. (That was also created from nothing, but that’s a different story).

It was an amazing trip. We had wonderful adventures in England, India, Thailand, and Australia. Then we dropped in on the February ‘95 Master’s Course in New Zealand, just for fun. We re-examined our goals and realized that after our long journey, we couldn’t just go back and resume our former life as it had been. So, what to do? Use the Avatar tools to create a new reality.

We did. We created the belief: “We find the perfect warm and sunny place to live and deliver Avatar—by November l995.”

In the face of this new intention, the mind had a few comments of its own to make. Comments like, “Are you crazy?” “You can’t do that!” “How will you get out of your lease?” “What about your family?” “What is the perfect place, anyway?” And, “What about the cat?” Etc.

Luckily for us, the Avatar techniques allowed us to easily quiet the mind, handle its objections, and then create what we wanted directly in consciousness. From the heart. From pure nothingness. From clear intention. And from a very quiet place within we had a real knowingness that our belief had been created and was on its way to manifesting.

A few days later, while playing on the beach in Australia, inspiration struck. San Diego! Even though neither of us had ever been there, it felt right. We trusted our intuition and immediately began to take the physical steps necessary to manifest what had already been created in consciousness. It was effortless.

Our landlady was understanding and cooperative; our families were supportive; our friends were enthusiastic. Even the cat was excited and ready to go.

The move itself was smooth and easy, even though when we left our house in New Jersey we had no place to move into in San Diego. We just packed the jeep and drove cross-country, knowing that our creation was waiting for us.

We moved into a temporary apartment and began looking at houses. After a week or so of searching, we walked inside a place just north of the city and suddenly—there it was! The perfect warm and sunny place to live and deliver Avatar. And—it was the last day of November, l995. (I love when that happens, don’t you?)

Now we’ve just completed our first Avatar delivery at our new location, and it was wonderful. Our most satisfying course yet. All of it created from nothing, exactly one year ago.
