Returning to Asia, The Master Course will be in Korea’s ancient cultural
city, Gyeongju, known as “the museum without walls.” The two supreme
treasures of Gyeongju are the Pulguksa Temple, one of the most beautiful
temples in Korea, and Sokkuram (a stone grotto) known worldwide for the
granite statue of Buddha and its mysterious architectural structure. Gyeongju
was the center of a golden period of Korean culture, and the remains of
the imaginative and artistic people of the Shilla Kingdom have been designated
as one of the 10 most important ancient cultural cities.
The Gyeongju Hilton is situated at the Pomun Lake Resort, a modern area
of energetic growth catering to tourists. This hotel is striking from the
moment you step into the lobby, with its collection of fascinating original
contemporary artwork in life-size bronzes, ceramics, canvas and more from
all around the world. The Hilton Gyeongju has several restaurants featuring
Western, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean cuisines. If you would like
to take a short walk, you’ll also find many other restaurants close
by in the Pomun Lake Resort area.
Temperatures range from highs around 80°F (27°C) to lows around

Travel
Gyeongju is located about 350 km southeast of Seoul. International
travelers can fly into Seoul and from there to Ulsan or Pohang airports.
The Gyeongju Hilton is 40-60 minutes away from these airports. Taxis and
rental cars are available at both locations. The Gyeongju Hilton is at the
Pomun Lake Resort, about 15 minutes from downtown Gyeongju.
