Celebrate Victory

Rx for discouragement

by Harry Palmer

The following is a commencement address given by Harry Palmer, President of Star's Edge Intemationa4 April 28, 1990, to the Nice, France, graduating Avatar Masters class.

Tomorrow is graduation. I trust you have found the last nine days enlightening.

When you are invited to sign a licensing agreement with Star's Edge to deliver Avatar, you should know that you are joining a very powerful worldwide network. So that you are fully informed before you make this commitment, I want to tell you what we stand for and what we stand against.

It is not unusual for men and women to fervently pursue some great cause or to embrace some grand idea of righteousness and to put their strength and hearts into banishing some real or imagined wrong.

It is not unusual for some individual or group to proclaim that they "are the righteous light of consciousness." And then they expect their scorn and condemnation of evil to save the world.

It is not unusual; it is also, after five thousand years of failure, clearly unworkable.

What happens is that righteous ideas become represented by clever slogans and battle flags, which are then used to justify acts for which no individual will assume personal responsibility. Young men and women die by the thousands with righteousness on every side. And the world drifts into a spiritual blind ness.

This is a path that we do not stand for.

I would rather you denounce Star's Edge and denounce Avatar a thousand times than use "loyalty to the cause" to justify a single act of personal intolerance. Star's Edge champions no cause other than your personal responsibility.

Avatar Masters work in the world, but they stand outside of it. They understand that the problems of the world must ultimately be solved where they began-in consciousness.

Masters are the world redeemers.

Masters are the world wake-up crew.

When all people are able to see that the only differences between any of us are the ideas and beliefs that we create, and that these ideas and beliefs can be created or discreated with the greatest of ease, then there will be an awakening to the inseparable destiny that we share.

Masters work toward the integration that will eventually welcome the discreation of every border, every definition between races, between nations and between individuals. Masters work toward an enlightened world.

It is our great privilege of living at this time to witness the changes that are occurring. Sometimes, we now see more change in a single day than our ancestors beheld in their lifetimes.

As humankind's true nature is realized-the undefined and ever-present light of consciousness-more and more people will recognize that there is no gain in which we do not all participate and no loss in which we do not all share the sacrifice.

Masters remember who they are and what they are not. They remember they are not body-things. They remember they are not any of the ideas about politics, nationalism or race that men now fight over.

Masters remember they are not limited expressions.

Masters are source!

Together you can work to feed the hungry and protect the environment and speak for peace-these are necessary efforts that buy the world the time you need to create an enlightened world. But the roots of these problems lack of abundance, unawareness of connection, and fear-ultimately, must be solved in the collective consciousness with a technology like Avatar.

What Star's Edge stands for is the balance into which all things will eventually come. Masters must achieve that balance, that stillness, and from that place share the lessons of Avatar. If you run into someone who will not hear the lessons, you must look deep within yourselves to find the idea that you project as wrong and the idea you embrace as right and resolve them within yourself. Then offer the lessons again. Transform discouragement into the power to persist forever. You will grow stronger as you share your strength.

And when times are darkest, withdraw into your own joy and without the slightest doubt, celebrate the coming victory of an enlightened civilization evolving on the Earth.

As our creations of location and time change, we can remain faithful to the in expressible union that we share now and will surely share again. The space that separates us also connects us and contains us.

Our co-operation and friendship will last forever-a joy now and a shining ex ample of sanity to future generations who will mark time by this period of world transformation.

It is our secret strength.

We are together, always. Namasté. Peace. ... I love you.
